This study aims to describe and analyze the supervision competence of madrasah heads in improving the professionalism of teachers in MAN 2 Banyumas. With a phenomenological qualitative approach, the research was carried out for four months in 2021. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the academic supervision planning of madrasah heads is systematically designed with the aim of improving teacher professionalism, learning quality, and overall quality of education. In its implementation, the head of the madrasah forms a supervision team based on the subject group and applies individual supervision techniques through class visits and group supervision techniques through meetings and discussions. Supervision materials include lesson plan development, learning implementation, learning outcome assessment, and teacher administration. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out through structured instruments that measure various aspects of learning. Follow-up supervision is in the form of awarding outstanding teachers and intensive coaching for teachers who need improvement. This study shows that the supervision competence of madrasah heads implemented with a clinical and participatory approach contributes significantly to improving the professionalism of teachers in MAN 2 Banyumas.
