Abstract

Measurements of residual stresses inherited by pipes in the process of the pipe production have been carried out, and the connection of stress corrosion cracking with the specified stresses in the pipe metal has been studied. The obtained correlation relationships demonstrate the possibility of optimizing the pipe manufacturing process to reduce their tendency to stress corrosion.
