Influence of Exogenous Factors on Crime: A View From Criminology

The influence of exogenous factors on crime has undoubtedly increased in contemporary societies, contributing to the development of more violent and crime-vulnerable environments. This article aims to analyze the influence of external factors thataffect crime and have a significant impact on individuals' criminal behavior. This under the structure of two transcendentalcategories which are: Physical factors that include the natural and artificial elements of the environment; as well as social factors that include community dynamics and human interactions such as education, work, family, culture, and even the media themselves. Through a criminological approach, the study examines how these factors affect individual behavior and describes the negative effects that arise in society. The present research contains a comprehensive bibliographic analysis using the documentary method, which allows for a deep understanding of the criminal and antisocial context faced by societies. The resultwill be a clear and comprehensive interpretation of the environments that are conducive to crime and that motivate individuals to commit these acts, as well as a conclusion on the interrelation between exogenous factors and criminality, making the understanding of these elements essential for the promotion of new strategies that are effective in crime prevention and control.
