The purpose of this paper is to examine, investigate the use of the method of flipped learning in the course of geometry. It is also investigated whether the method of inverted teaching contributes to the individual pedagogical benefits, to the active participation of students but also to their autonomy, by utilizing the collaborative method. To achieve the objectives of the work, the software that is now suitable for teaching geometry, the geometer"s sketchpad, is utilized. The work was done during the period when the teaching of the lessons in the schools was done with the method of distance education. The research involved 228 students of the 2nd Lyceum and six teachers of schools in Thessaly. From this work it appears that when the teacher has prepared the introduction of the new didactic concepts of the course in the appropriate way, then the method of inverted teaching may be more effective than the traditional method of teaching.
