This study explores the role of virtual communication in building effective team relationships in multinational hybrid work environments. With the increasing prevalence of hybrid work models, driven by technological advancements and global disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding how virtual communication impacts team dynamics is crucial for organizational success. Utilizing a qualitative approach, specifically a literature review, this research synthesizes findings from various scholarly sources to identify key themes and challenges in virtual team communication. The analysis reveals that while virtual communication tools offer flexibility and convenience, they also present significant challenges in fostering trust, cohesion, and collaboration, especially in culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams. Leadership, communication competence, and team-building strategies are highlighted as essential factors in overcoming these challenges. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for organizations to develop specialized communication strategies tailored to hybrid and multinational settings to maintain effective team relationships. The findings underscore that while virtual communication cannot fully replicate face-to-face interactions, it can significantly enhance team performance when used effectively. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on virtual teams and offers practical insights for managers and organizations seeking to optimize communication in hybrid work environments.
