The ability to speak publicly is an important competency for young generation, including Karang Taruna as one of the community youth organizations, in facing the demands of globalization and active role in community development. This capability not only supports individual capacity building, but also improves productivity in community and organizational activities. By employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, a community service program focused on public speaking training was conducted for members Karang Taruna Linggarjati youth organization, Lubuk Begalung Nan XX District, Padang Municipality, Indonesia. As active civic agents and facilitators of government programs, Karang Taruna members play a crucial role in driving community engagement and social change. This training was carried out systematically through three stages, namely the preparation, the implementation, and the evaluation stage. Based on the preliminary survey at the preparation stage, it was found that most members of Karang Taruna still have limitations in public speaking skills, even though they are often involved in the implementation of government programs. This indicates that the training was based on real needs and had an impact in strengthening their role in social and community life. In the implementation stage, the participants were given lessons on the basic concepts and techniques of public speaking as well as strategies to organize the topics systematically. The evaluation phase started by conducting a direct practice with the participants and obtained evaluations from peers and speakers. Also at this stage, an evaluation questionnaire was distributed to collect participants' perceptions and assessments of the overall training implementation. The results showed significant changes in the participants' ability and confidence level in public speaking.
