The potential for zakat, infaq, and alms in Indonesia has a high chance of reducing poverty. Thedistribution of ZIS funds must be carried out with the principle of justice. Giving evenly to individuals inneed can improve the quality of life of the community. This research aims to understand the contributionof zakat, infaq, and alms in improving community welfare. The method used by the researcher isqualitative research. The data collection is a literature study taken from scientific journals, articles, andsources from the internet. The results of the study show that the most ZIS funds are distributed to the poor.This shows that ZIS plays a very important role in reducing poverty. In addition, ZIS funds are used tomaintain the five concepts of benefits in sharia maqashid. If these five concepts are fulfilled, it willprovide social welfare.
