Motivation: 4D flow MRI can acquire high flow velocity resolved images using low velocity encoding (venc) and phase unwrapping, conditioned on the unwrapping algorithm is reliable and robust. Goal(s): Evaluating an unsupervised phase unwrapping method using deep image prior (PUDIP) in aortic 4D flow MRI. Approach: Implementing the PUDIP method to aortic 4D flow MRI and comparing it with traditional phase unwrapping methods using retrospectively generated low-venc data base on high-venc data. Results: PUDIP had the least error compared to other phase unwrapping methods in most cases. Impact: PUDIP outperforms the conventional methods and can yield accurate flow velocity quantifications for 4D flow MRI.
