Abstract Among 70 hospitalists across three facilities, 47% of high prescribers of broad-spectrum hospital-onset (BSHO) agents remained high in the subsequent period versus 24% for initially high prescribers of anti-MRSA agents. Findings of persistence of high prescribing add credibility to our metric for BSHO agents but not anti-MRSA agents.
