In May 2021, an excavation was conducted at 6, Rothschild Street in Be’er Sheva‘ (Permit No. A-9012; map ref. 181059–168/572194–354; Fig. 1), following damage caused to antiquities in the course of construction works. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Porat Sagi Construction Company, was directed by A. Levi-Hevroni, with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), E.
