Abstract

At the end of May and early in June 2018, salvage excavations were conducted at 4c Nemal Yafo Street in Yafo (Permit No. A-8265; map ref. 176519/662068; Fig. 1), prior to construction work. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and privately financed by the landowners, was directed by Y. Arbel (field photography) and L. Rauchberger, with the assistance of Y. Amrani (administration), R. Mishayev (surveying and drafting), D. Golan (field preparation), A. de Vincenz (pottery; see Appendix), N. Zak (plans), L. Kupershmidt and V. Nosikovsky (metallurgical laboratory), C. Amit and D. Gazit (studio photography) and D. Abu-Salah from Tel Aviv district .
