In September 2017, a salvage excavation was conducted in Be’er Sheva‘ (Permit No. A-8090; map ref. 181399–530/575031–251; Fig. 1), prior to the construction of Ben-Gurion University’s northern campus. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, was directed by D. Eisenberg-Degen, with the assistance of A.
