Against the backdrop of global economic integration, the outbreak of the Sino-US trade war since 2018 has profoundly impacted the global economic landscape, with agricultural trade—the cornerstone of bilateral commerce—suffering the brunt of these changes. The findings reveal a dramatic decline in total agricultural trade volume between China and the US, where imports from the US experienced steeper declines than exports to the US, while future trends in agricultural trade remain uncertain. In terms of supply-demand dynamics, reduced US agricultural imports have spurred domestic cultivation expansion, while Chinese enterprises are actively exploring new import channels. These measures aim to enhance China's agricultural market resilience and competitiveness in complex international conditions, providing actionable insights for ensuring national food security and stabilizing agricultural economic development.
