A Study on the Infrastructure and Educational Facilities of Schools in West Bengal

The study explores West Bengal's educational institutions, facilities, curriculum, teaching personnel, and government initiatives.It highlights the importance of education in promoting progress, enhancing quality of life, and providing social benefits.Education access depends on existing infrastructure, including physical and intellectual facilities.The study aims to review the literature on schools' infrastructure and describe the status of educational facilities in West Bengal.Method of the study used a qualitative descriptive method, utilising library research and literature reviews.It identified 32 articles on the status of educational facilities and infrastructure, screening twenty papers, and evaluating their influence on learning outcomes.The review of articles reveals that few educational institutions maintain quality infrastructure, while in the Medinipur district of West Bengal, there is a lack of quality infrastructure, teachers, and non-teaching staff.In the Darjeeling district, education is delayed due to issues like lack of libraries, limited facilities, poor road connectivity, and insufficient transportation.Quality education is crucial for nation-building and ensuring the availability and quality of educational infrastructure is essential.Research shows that some institutions maintain quality infrastructure and implementation, while others lack it.Efficient management is crucial for academic quality, as seen at Nusantara Vocational School in Balikpapan.School facilities, including classrooms, labs, dormitories, administrative amenities, and athletic facilities, play a significant role in ensuring quality education.Infrastructure influences learners' educational achievements, accounting for 16% of primary school pupils' academic success.The design of school facilities influences learning processes based on natural, exciting characteristics.School facilities' design significantly influences learning processes by being natural, stimulating, and individualized, providing an optimal atmosphere for academic performance and influencing student learning.
