The global climate crisis affects children and youth as a result of their ancestors' choices, and environmental education becomes a crucial element in fostering new habits and ensuring a sustainable future. This paper aims to demonstrate the significance of children's environmental activism as a tool for environmental education, through the actions of an 11-year-old Brazilian activist and her environmental education project. It was observed that the development of environmental attitudes and behaviors is directly linked to an individual's relationship with nature, their age, the information they acquire, and their social connections. It was identified that this connection occurs not only for the activist but also for the children and youth who follow them. Although the activism and project presented are currently spontaneous, the evaluations conducted have allowed for the identification of methodologies for more effective environmental education.
