Education is essential for everyone and an important factor in the nation's development. A good education requires a school with a management team with effective leadership. A positive school climate involves all staff and stakeholders' commitment, attitude and communication. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of effective leadership on a positive school climate. This study is a quantitative study using causal relationship analysis. The simple random sampling method selected a sample of 154 high school teachers. A five-level rating scale questionnaire was used for data collection. Data analysis using descriptive statistics by SPSS v26 software, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis by Amos v24 software. Results of SEM analysis give the model fit indexes:Chi-Square = 9.304 (p = 0.594), Relative Chi-Square = 0.846, GFI = 0.982, TLI = 1.003, CFI = 1.000, RMSEA < 0.001 and RMR = 0.004. It indicates that effective leadership significantly influences the positive school climate, with a standard regression coefficient = 0.89. Effective leadership can also evaluate the positive school climate by 79%.
