This paper examines the relationship between theater and education and the use of school theater and theatrical teaching and learning strategies in the classroom. It presents a chronological account of school theater in Romania and the author's practical research. The research is based on two questionnaires: one addressed to Language and Literature teachers and the other to students in classes IX to XII.
