Previous pragmatics studies on humor have been conducted from the perspective of violating the cooperative principle. Therefore, based on the cooperative principle, this paper takes interactive stand-up comedy as the corpus to explore the various generation mechanisms of humor and reveal the characteristics of the new form of comedy. The results show that humorous discourse can be generated in the interaction between comedian and audience regardless of whether the cooperation principle is obeyed or violated. This interactive program is characterized by openness, interactivity and unpredictability. This study enriches the perspective of humorous discourse and cooperative principle, and complements the research of interactive stand-up comedy.
