This paper aims to present an integrated research framework that provides an approach for making resilient decisions under deep uncertainty, especially in the supply chain. This paper develops a conceptual model using the unified modeling language technique, type activity diagrams (UML-Ads) which is a comprehensive modeling tool that helps con- conceptualize a configuration framework of supply chain management processes under demand uncertainty. The results show how the new approach contributes to understanding and managing load and capacity under demand disruption. Moreover, this paper explores some of the most complex variables that affect supply chain performance under high demand variation. It is possible to show the risk of obsolete materials and products clearly. The design science research methodology was chosen as a tool to generate strategic knowledge and model a new approach to make resilient decisions and solve a specific problem in the supply chain. This paper is original and contributes towards sharing a new approach helping to understand the supply chain within an uncertain context.
