With the continuous development of China's society and economy and the increasing improvement of people's living standards, people's demand for cultural products continues to grow. As an important carrier of cultural inheritance, museums have become important public cultural venues for the public to understand the past, reflect on the present and inspire the future. Scope and approach: This review provides an in-depth analysis of the current research status and development trend of cultural and creative products in Chinese museums. Using "China Knowledge Network" as the data source, we searched 3,376 articles published from 2008 to 2023, which discussed the innovative practices of museum creative products in design, development, marketing and other aspects in depth. This thesis adopts the CiteSpace scientific bibliometric knowledge mapping method, and through the visualization technology, the knowledge structure, research hotspots and development trends of the research field are clearly shown. Key findings and conclusions: Through bibliometric analysis, the publication volume, contributing institutions, research hotspots, and development directions of studies related to museum cultural and creative products in China were analyzed. The research indicates that, firstly, there is a significant upward trend in the number of research publications, reflecting the increasing attention and importance of museum cultural and creative products in China's academic community. Simultaneously, the research topics are becoming increasingly diverse, covering aspects such as cultural and creative product design, marketing, and consumer behavior. Secondly, through highfrequency keyword and thematic clustering analysis, several research hotspots were identified, including cultural and tourism integration, user experience, new cultural and creative industries, and digitization. These hotspots reflect the core issues and research trends in the field of museum cultural and creative products. However, while acknowledging research progress, shortcomings were also identified. On one hand, some studies still rely on traditional qualitative methods, lacking support from quantitative research, which may limit the depth and breadth of research. On the other hand, despite the increase in the number of publications, there is a relative scarcity of high-quality research outcomes, indicating the need to pay more attention to research quality and academic value.
