Introduction The prosody of an utterance reveals emotional states of a speaker, such as anger, sadness, joy or fear. Patients with CI (PwCI) show difficulties in emotional prosody (EP) perception compared to people without hearing loss (1).Our study examines the perception of EP of PwCI at follow-up CI therapy. In addition, the relationship between daily state of mind and empathy to EP was integrated into our survey.
