In order to realize the assessment of the health status of the substation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a multifactor based health status assessment method for UAV is proposed. In this paper, the UAV system is divided into several subsystems to select relevant dynamic and basic parameters by analyzing each subsystem. The health status is evaluated based on the abnormality probability, severity of dynamic parameters and the deterioration of basic parameters. Substituting the aforementioned parameters into their respective health status affiliation functions to obtain health status vectors. These vectors are subsequently combined with weights to derive the health assessment results for dynamic and basic parameters respectively. The integrated evaluation results of both sets of parameters lead to the overall health status of the UAV ultimately. Different degradation degree calculation methods are given for different basic parameters considering the different characteristics of the basic parameters. The results of case study show that the proposed method is easy to implement in engineering, and visually give the overall health status level of the UAV.
