Purpose:: In this study, we attempted to identify the characteristics of Korea's village education communities and derive their characteristics. Method:: To this end, a qualitative meta-analysis was conducted on studies focusing on the activation, formation, and operation of village education communities. Results:: As a result of the study, the attributes of the village education community were identified as identity, community, shared leadership, practicality, locality, expertise, publicness, sustainability, and a supportive environment. The core attribute of the village education community is sustainability, which is revealed to be the future-oriented growth of children, parents, teachers, villages, and communities. Conclusion:: Based on these research results, discussions and conclusions were presented focusing on the characteristics of village education communities and measures for sustainable growth.
