Organic production is one of the promising areas of agro-industrial production. The main advantages of organic agricultural production are to ensure food security, public health and environmental protection. An important direction of development of organic production is the state regulation of the formation of the domestic market of organic products. The article analyzes the state and trends of the development of organic production in Kazakhstan. Factors and conditions that constrain the development of the domestic organic market are identified. The methodology of the research is based on the analysis of scientific works on state support of the organic sector in foreign countries, economic analysis of the indicators of organic production, and the established trends of its development in 2018-2020. Proposals are formulated to facilitate the formation of a domestic market for organic products to ensure the food security of the country
