The implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) in medical healthcare facilities allows doctors to assess, investigate, and treat patients with ease. With the advancement of technology, all the patient data, investigations, and procedures performed on the patient can be visualized online on the dedicated software or website by using the hospital information system (HIS) or Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The limitation of this system is that access to healthcare data is only available to the people attached to the system. This research study intends to discuss about the role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in transforming medical healthcare with a discussion on the application of PACS.
