The article examines the economic aspect of emergency management in the context of the civil defense system of the Russian Federation. The main focus is on the analysis of the economic efficiency of key government programs and strategies aimed at minimizing damage from emergencies. Strategic priorities of budget financing, assessment of the economic consequences of the implemented measures and the role of technological innovations in increasing economic resilience are considered. Recommendations for optimizing economic mechanisms in the civil defense system are formulated.
