ABSTRACT Halophiles, extremophiles that live in high-salinity environments, are critical to a range of industrial and biotechnical processes but are relatively understudied. To help build a better understanding of halophilic genomes, we sequenced the genomes of seven halophilic bacterial species from Northern California.
