This paper is principally a description of the climate at Dawson. The prevailing wind is shown to be katabatic. As yet no complete model has been deduced for the characteristic sudden wind changes. The summer westerly wind is shown to be a sea breeze, and the existence of sea-ice is awn to reduce wind speed. There is a tendency for the tropopause to vanish in winter, due to radiative cooling aloft. The distribution of humidity near the ground is used to estimate oblation of plateau ice. Details of snow and sea ice are given which may be of use to analysts.
