This paper focused on communication for effective primary school administration in Nigeria. The paper emphasized on the need for effective communication as a basis for determining effective primary school administration. As a result of this, the Headteacher is tasked with the role of sharing information from every angle be it, top to bottom, horizontal to vertical, upward to downward. However, primary school administration, concept of communication, types of communication, channels of communication in primary school, guidelines for effective communication in primary school administration, challenges facing communication for effective primary school administration such as Intra personal factors; selective perception, individual differences in communication skills; Inter personal factors: organizational factors among others were examined. The paper recommended that Headteachers should establish proper communication climate by creating trust and credibility among the individuals in their respective primary schools. As well as individual differences in communication skills should be considered by removing intergroup hostility as well as using repetition in case the message is conflicted.
