The present study drafts a digital solution for automated data exchange between farming entities and control institutions, such as state authorities and production certification bodies, using the example of barn climate data in broiler fattening in Germany. The solution is designated to increase resource efficiency for the stakeholders involved and facilitate data transparency in the sector. The study further explores the potential of focus group discussions as the approach to incorporate the perspectives of key stakeholder groups involved, in order to facilitate the practical relevance and acceptance of the solution concept.
