When his debut book The Idiot Brain was scheduled for an anniversary re-release, popular science author Dr Dean Burnett seized this opportunity to correct the many mistakes contained within his decade-old effort. But a closer examination revealed that few, if any, of these mistakes actually existed. Further analysis led to Dr Burnett discovering that, despite spending many years studying and writing about them, he himself had fallen prey to the many quirks and surprising qualities of the workings of human memory, which is far more fascinating and unpredictable than almost anyone realises.
