Creating a mathematical model describing electromagnetic processes in an induction motor with a double stator winding is presented. The model is described in a rotating coordinate system oriented along the flow coupling of the rotor. Differential equations describing currents in the stator and rotor windings, rotor flow coupling, magnetic field rotation frequency, and electromagnetic moment on the shaft are presented. The mathematical model of the engine was tested in a computer schematic design. The developed mathematical model can be used in studies of frequency-controlled asynchronous traction drive, including traction drive of locomotives.
