Introduction: Hairy cell leukaemia (HCL) is a rare mature B-cell neoplasm with classical features of splenomegaly, pancytopenia, circulating lymphocytes with “hairy” cytoplasmic cell projections and a BRAF V600E somatic mutation. 1 We present an atypical case of HCL with nodal and extra-nodal disease that was initially misdiagnosed as follicular lymphoma.
