Abstract The Dalman Institute, the Institute of Data Science, and the Computing Centre at the University of Greifswald developed in 2024/2025 the web application “Tin Gustaf”. Using artificial intelligence (AI), the project generates image descriptions for around 14 000 digitised artefacts from the cultural landscape of Palestine. These descriptions were then transformed by AI into numerical representations and grouped. In the spirit of digital curation, this approach enables exploratory engagement with the collection and reveals unexpected connections that might otherwise remain unnoticed.
