This study aims to evaluate district hospital systems in South Africa by analysing clinical outcomes using panel data. Panel data analysis was employed to examine the influence of various factors on clinical outcomes. Robust standard errors were used for inference. A significant improvement in patient recovery rates (65%) was observed, suggesting enhanced healthcare delivery. The study confirms the need for further investment and policy adjustments in district hospitals to improve service quality. District hospital managers should prioritise training programmes and infrastructure upgrades to enhance clinical outcomes. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
