A longitudinal survey was conducted among 200 randomly selected farmers in the Virunga National Park buffer zone over a five-year period. Sustainable farming practices reduced soil erosion by up to 30% and increased crop yields by an average of 15% compared to conventional methods, indicating significant ecological and economic benefits. The adoption of sustainable agriculture practices has shown promising results in improving the livelihoods of farmers while preserving natural resources. Policy makers should incentivize the adoption of sustainable farming techniques through subsidies and training programmes.
