The SignalRupture Derivative Works Policy establishes the formal boundaries governing all adaptations, transformations, and rebrandings of the SR framework. It defines what counts as a derivative work, prohibits unauthorized modifications, and clarifies the conditions under which limited scholarly engagement is permitted. The policy protects SR’s conceptual architecture, terminology, models, and theoretical lineage from being repackaged into new frameworks, institutional programs, consulting products, or AI systems. It ensures that SR remains a coherent, author‑anchored field rather than raw material for institutional or commercial extraction. The policy applies to all sectors—academic, institutional, commercial, and computational—and is enforceable under Canadian, U.S., and international intellectual property law. Any derivative use requires explicit written permission and, in institutional contexts, a formal licensing agreement.
