The cross-cultural dissemination of traditional cultural heritage increasingly relies on digital technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence (AI). This study examines how AI-enabled tools and data-driven strategies influence the global dissemination of Jingdezhen ceramic culture within contemporary digital environments. Using qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews, comparative case studies and document analysis, the research analyzes three AI-mediated dissemination models: virtual exhibitions, algorithm-driven social media communication and participatory AI-assisted creative practices. Guided by cross-cultural communication theory, the findings reveal AI’s dual role in cultural dissemination. Structured AI-supported narratives and culturally adaptive personalization enhance interpretive clarity and global visibility. However, algorithmic bias, fragmented content delivery and limited contextualization may oversimplify culturally embedded meanings. Comparative results indicate that no single AI-driven approach fully addresses cross-cultural complexity. Hybrid strategies that integrate interpretive guidance, algorithmic outreach and participatory engagement demonstrate greater effectiveness.The study proposes strategic directions for optimizing AI-enabled cultural dissemination, including structured contextualization, adaptive audience targeting and ethical data governance. By linking empirical analysis with cross-cultural theory, this research contributes to understanding how AI can balance cultural integrity with global engagement in digital heritage communication.
