We surveyed the current status of facility plans for “support facilities,” which have been increasing in recent years as a solution to the social exclusion of children. Questionnaire responses were received from 34 “Children's Third Place” facilities, and floor plans of 26 facilities were analyzed. Sixteen facilities with architectural innovations were documented using 3D scans. Based on the results, we considered the desirable spatial configuration of support facilities. The way in which individual spaces are planned is important in a support facility.
