This commentary examines school nutrition programmes in Kenya aimed at improving student performance and attendance. A comprehensive literature review was conducted, analysing various initiatives implemented between and across Kenya. School nutrition initiatives have the potential to positively influence educational outcomes but require tailored implementation strategies for maximum efficacy. Investment should prioritise school infrastructure improvements alongside nutritional offerings, particularly in underserved regions.
