Smallholder farms in Ghana face complex challenges related to productivity and sustainability. A systematic review of existing literature on methodological assessment and the application of panel data analysis in evaluating smallholder farms in Ghana, focusing on clinical outcomes. Panel-data estimation revealed a significant positive effect (β = 0. 52 ± 0. 12) of fertilizer use on crop yield across different seasons. The review underscores the importance of robust methodological frameworks and panel data integration for accurate assessment of smallholder farm systems in Ghana. Future research should prioritise replication studies to validate findings and explore additional variables affecting farm productivity. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
