Community-based health insurance schemes have been introduced in Uganda to improve access to healthcare services and medicines. Fieldwork involving quantitative data collection from multiple health facilities, interviews with community members, and analysis of insurance records over a five-year period. The evaluation suggests that community-based health insurance can enhance medicine accessibility but requires ongoing monitoring and support to sustain positive outcomes. Further studies should focus on understanding how different factors influence medication availability and explore ways to improve service delivery in underserved regions.
