Reversible Asymmetric Surface Morphology In their Research Article (10.1002/adem.202501992), Chao Gao presents a novel strategy to design a reversible asymmetric surface by incorporating a metamaterial-like structure as a regulation layer beneath the surface of soft material. By rationally designing embedded structures, the achieved waviness and the degree of asymmetry are ∼25.6% and ∼159.6% higher than those of existing approaches. This conceptual strategy is proven numerically and experimentally.
