The growing consumer shift towards health-conscious and environmentally sustainable choices has led to a significant rise in demand for organic edible oils. This study explores retailers’ perceptions and awareness regarding this evolving consumer trend. It examines how well retailers understand customer preferences, purchase behaviour, and health concerns related to organic oils. The research also assesses the extent of retailer knowledge about organic certification and labelling. Primary data was collected through surveys conducted among local retailers. Findings reveal a moderate level of awareness but highlight gaps in understanding health benefits and product differentiation. Retailers acknowledged increasing demand but cited pricing and limited availability as challenges. The study emphasizes the need for educational programs and supply chain support. Enhancing retailer awareness can better align product offerings with consumer expectations, boosting overall market growth for organic oils. The study was conducted through a descriptive research design, using a structured questionnaire to collect data from 120 retailers across various urban and semi-urban regions.
