Abstract A yogic lifestyle offers a holistic and preventive approach to health by integrating physical postures, breath regulation, meditation, ethical conduct, and mindful living. In the modern era, the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related disorders such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and stress-induced mental health conditions has emphasized the need for effective preventive healthcare strategies. Yoga, rooted in ancient Indian philosophy, addresses health at physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral levels, thereby supporting long-term well-being. This paper examines the concept of a yogic lifestyle and its role in disease prevention through physiological and psychological mechanisms. Evidence from classical yogic texts and contemporary scientific studies indicates that regular yogic practices improve cardiovascular efficiency, enhance immune function, regulate metabolic processes, and reduce stress and anxiety. Furthermore, the ethical and mindful dimensions of yoga encourage healthy behavioral patterns and emotional resilience. The study concludes that adopting a yogic lifestyle serves as a cost-effective, sustainable, and inclusive preventive healthcare model capable of enhancing quality of life and reducing the burden of chronic diseases
