Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a multifaceted disorder characterized by a constellation of cardiometabolic abnormalities.(1) It collectively increases the risk of developing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus.(2,3) The incidence of MetS is influenced by various factors, including aging, gender, dietary habits, genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, and lifestyle behaviors, particularly physical activity levels.(4,5) Literature has reported high incidents of MetS among Indian women, with estimates of 19.2% to 32.4% in pre- and post-menopausal women.
