The current study aims to explore the role of artificial intelligence Facebook Messenger bot on writing practice among Arab EFL university students. Fifty Saudi students with elementary English proficiency level were selected and divided into two groups. The first group called experimental group and second is control group with 25 students in each group. Initially, a pretest was conducted to ensure the homogeneity of students in terms of their writing. Then, both groups of students followed their normal face-to-face classes, but the experimental group received extra practice through an interactive activity using a Facebook Messenger bot. The study lasted four weeks, and after the treatment, training tests and posttests were also conducted. The findings indicated that experimental groups received accepting and effective writing practice. In addition, the findings showed that the experimental group performed better in effective writing task, while the control group performed worse in the writing task. Teachers, curriculum designers, students, and institutions can all benefit from the study’s conclusions.
