Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments are increasingly expected to exchange data with external applications, supplier networks, approval services, and reporting platforms without sacrificing governance or reliability. This paper presents a full reference architecture for scalable ERP integration using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) as the orchestration and control layer. The proposed design combines REST and SOAP connectivity, ERP Cloud Adapter patterns, canonical payload transformation, centralized monitoring, and operational exception handling in support of a representative requisition-to-invoice workflow. A structured implementation model is evaluated using a simulated transaction workload comparing manual processing, traditional rule-based orchestration, and a standardized OIC-centered automation approach. Results indicate a substantial reduction in average processing time, higher exception-detection capability, and improved throughput while preserving auditability and enterprise control boundaries.
