The article states that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have had common traditions, linguistic roots and cultural values for centuries. These common values were promoted on a wider scale during the period of independence. Inter-university cooperation, student exchange, cultural festivals and joint events have increased the closeness between the peoples.
