A cosmological model is proposed, which has spacetime defects instead of curvature singularities. We combine, in fact, a cosmological time-defect and a wormhole space-defect, where these two defects are described by a degenerate spacetime metric with vanishing determinant on two hypersurfaces. There are then four segments in this universe, which can be interpreted as two pairs of CPT-conjugated worlds (two pairs of twin worlds). We discuss, in some detail, the issue of classical communication between these four worlds.
